During 2010 – 2011, SCI filed comments on the following federal and state rules, policies and actions:

• Washington State’s Wolf Conservation and Management Plan;

• California Fish and Game Commission decision on Hunting in Mojave National Preserve;

• New River Gorge National River Draft General Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement (including on continuing hunting)'

• Kofa National Wildlife Refuge Pronghorn Reintroduction;

• Enhancement of Survival Permits for Michigan and Wisconsin Management of Endangered Wolves;

• Proposed Amendments to Regulations on Financial Assistance: Wildlife Restoration, Sport Fish Restoration, Hunter Education and Safety;

• Moriah Horse Area; Reveille Horse Management Area (“HMA”); Montezuma Peak and Paymaster HMA; Silver King HMA; Winter Ridge HMA; Piceance/East Douglas HMA; and Eagle, Chokecherry, Mt. Elinore HMAs. Safari Club also filed comments on September 3, 2010 regarding the Department of the Interior’s scoping document on a national strategy for horse and burro management;

• Proposed Delisting of Western Great Lakes Wolves;

• Big Cypress National Preserve, Final General Management Plan/EIS for the Addition Lands, including Wilderness designation and off-road vehicle use;

• Selawik National Wildlife Refuge Draft Comprehensive Conservation Plan and Environmental Assessment;

• Montana’s Proposed Wolf Harvest;

• White-tailed Deer Management Plan For the Monocacy and Antietam National Battlefields and the Manassas National Battlefield Park;

• Ninety Day Finding on the Reclassification of Straight-horned Markhor;

• Wood Bison Downlisting or Delisting Under the ESA;

• Proposed Changes to the Huron-Manistee Forest Plan That Respond to a Recent Court Ruling That Held the Forest’s Existing Plan to Be In Violation of the 1982 Forest Planning Rules;
